Area(s) of Expertise

Made Ayu Pratiwi is interested in understanding the fish population dynamics and estimating fish stock in order to have sufficient data for managing the fisheries. Her area of expertise also includes the ecosystem approach to fisheries management; this study provided the fisheries' status under the socio-ecological system to design the tactical decisions for proper management strategies. She participated in collaborative research estimating the sustainable potential of frigate tuna in Karangasem Regency, Bali, Indonesia. Her research interests focus on sustainable small-scale fisheries management, specifically in fish population dynamics, fish stock assessment, reproductive biology, fish growth, and ecosystem approach to fisheries management.
