Bio

Research professor of nutritional biochemistry in the Department of Animal Science.

Research Area

Hepatic lipid metabolism and intestinal health in neonates. The research program focuses on the regulatory mechanisms of fatty acid oxidative metabolism and the role of fatty acid in intestinal development and immune function in pigs during the neonatal period. Current research interesting includes 1) understanding the epigenetic impacts on the regulation of fetal growth and development, and 2) the efficacies of dietary trace elements and fatty acids in enhancing intestinal immune function and alleviating animals’ heat stress.
