Give Back to Push Us Forward
We are proud of all that you have accomplished — and the trails you continue to blaze. You are industry leaders, hard workers and creative minds solving grand challenges.
You can help shape the future of the Ag Institute.
Get involved. Make a gift. Create opportunities for future grads to follow in your footsteps. Let’s keep growing together.
If you’re inspired to support future AGI alumni on their path to success, consider contributing to the AGI wishlist.
Recruiting scholarships– $50,000
The AGI consistently focuses on recruiting students from all areas of North Carolina. Knowing that scholarships are available reassures students, families, and supporters that paying for their education is possible. We are focusing on first-year student scholarships since these are not as commonly written into scholarship agreements.
Ambassadors/Student Mentors – $25,000/year
Students gain invaluable leadership experience through the AGI Ambassadors program and student mentorship opportunities. To further support their growth, we aim to offer financial assistance for their participation. This gift will help us retain top talent while creating meaningful near-peer recruiting experiences for prospective students.
Internship exploration stipends – $15,000/year
All AGI students must complete an internship during their academic tenure. Employers often offer experiential opportunities but not housing, especially in rural areas. Funding would allow those employer networks and internship experiences to flourish without financial burden for students.
International travel opportunities- $12,500/year
Travel opportunities have a high impact on a student’s learning experience. In recent academic years, AGI students have traveled to areas abroad, and many more have expressed interest but are limited financially. Funding in this area would open opportunities to more students and further the mission of agricultural education.
Educator Enrichment/Innovations – $10,000/year
The AGI partners with Departments within CALS to offer discipline-specific coursework and impactful laboratory experiences. Educators are not limited in ideas for innovative teaching but are limited in resources to provide hands-on, technical educational experiences. Funding in this area would set up a competitive grants program where educators could submit proposals for innovations and resource allocations. A committee would evaluate and award accordingly.
Domestic competition teams – $10,000/year
Multiple organizations across the United States provide opportunities for students to compete and prove knowledge and hands-on experience against similar educational institutions. Funding could supplement an educational team’s competitive advantage.
All donations will support the priorities of the Agricultural Institute and will be deposited to the Agricultural Institute Enhancement Fund. Funds supporting the Agricultural Institute Enhancement Fund are collected and managed by The North Carolina Agricultural Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit, tax id 56-6049304. You will receive an official receipt for your donation.
