Upcoming Wellness Day On Tuesday, Feb. 13.

NC State community,

We hope that you are well and that your semester is off to a successful start. As a reminder, Tuesday, Feb. 13, is our scheduled wellness day for the academic semester. On wellness days, there are no classes, and instructors are strongly encouraged to avoid any deadlines on that day, or deadlines or tests on the following day.

Your well-being is an essential part of your success on our campus. Check in with friends and colleagues, and if you need support, take advantage of the many resources available to you as a member of the Pack.

Students can make the most of the upcoming wellness day by participating in any of the various activities teams across the university have organized to promote relaxation and mindfulness. No matter your interests, there is something for everyone, including a spoken word workshop, relaxation stations, yoga classes, a trip to the North Carolina Zoo and so much more.

As a reminder, faculty and staff have a variety of resources available year-round, including the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program — with members of the State Health Plan also having access to the Behavioral Health Resource Center.

Thank you to the employees across NC State who continue to collaborate to provide unique events and programs for our community to come together. The services available next week, and all year long, wouldn’t be possible without the work of our faculty, staff, students and volunteers.

We wish you a rejuvenating and restful wellness day on Feb. 13.

Best regards,

Warwick Arden
Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost
