Joshua Bledsoe Awarded Highest Honor by NASAE

Yancey County FFA members plant seeds on a farm outside Micaville.

Congratulations to Joshua Bledsoe for being named the Outstanding State Supervisor by the National Association of Supervisors of Agricultural Education (NASAE) during the organization’s annual meeting. The purpose of the award is to recognize and encourage superior contributions to the field of supervision in agricultural education. This is the highest award presented by the NASAE for state supervisors of agricultural education.

Bledsoe was nominated by his team members at NC State, which include Carmen Bracey, Allison Jennings, Andy VonCanon, Megan Blanke, and Sarah Williams. He currently serves as State Agricultural Education Leader and State FFA Advisor and President-Elect of the NASAE. He was quoted as saying “Previous recipients of this award are legends in Agricultural Education and FFA.  I am both humbled and honored to be recognized by my peers.  I am grateful to work with such a dedicated team of professionals at NC State who always put students first.” when he received the award.

We are so fortunate to have Joshua as a member of our AHS department and everything that he contributes to North Carolina FFA and agricultural education across the nation.
