Joseph Donaldson Receives NC State’s Outstanding Teacher Award

The Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences is thrilled to announce that Joseph Donaldson, associate professor and director of undergraduate programs, has been honored with the esteemed Outstanding Teacher Award. This award recognizes his exemplary dedication to creative and innovative teaching practices across all levels.

Donaldson, who also serves as the undergraduate coordinator for the extension education minor, has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to enhancing the learning experience for his students. His nomination for this award by peers and students reflects his profound impact on the academic community.

Donaldson shares his passion for teaching in his own words, stating, “As a teacher, I am always looking forward to the next lesson as an opportunity to build the capacity of students and professionals who are leaders for agricultural, food, human, and environmental systems. I feel blessed to be a teacher, and I feel honored to serve others through NC State. I hope students remember me as a mission-focused teacher who put his heart into helping students, empowering them to create a positive future.”
