Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less and Eat Smart, Move More, Prevent Diabetes Efforts During COVID-19
The Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less and Eat Smart, Move More, Prevent Diabetes teams continue to serve program participants under the unprecedented times created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to both programs being delivered almost exclusively online, neither program has experienced schedule changes due to COVID-19. Onsite classes were smoothly transitioned to the online delivery format so that no classes had to be cancelled. Additionally, COVID-19 has not halted the team’s launch of new online classes for the two programs. New classes for Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less are scheduled to begin the week of April 20th and Eat Smart, Move More, Prevent Diabetes has a new series beginning the week of Sunday, April 26th.
The team has also created COVID-19-relevant content focused on healthy eating and physical activity for blogs and social media channels to support enrolled program participants as well as the general public.
