Bio
Libby Blosser is from Whiteville, NC and a second-year Master’s student pursuing a degree in Agriculture and Extension Education. She currently works under Dr. Joseph Donaldson as a graduate research assistant. She serves as a mentor for the Career Pathways in Agriculture for Community College Students (PACCS) Program and runs the Career PACCS website. Additional work responsibilities include conducting focus groups for research, traveling to community colleges to recruit transfer students, emailing prospective students, and providing community college students with resources and connecting them to advisors, students, and professors within the AHS Department.
Libby is also a part of the More PEAS Please! team, where she serves as the PEAS Gardener. She is currently developing her thesis around this program. She enjoys being able to combine her passion for agriculture, horticulture, and nutrition, while getting to teach preschoolers about and provide fresh, nutritious, and local foods! Libby loves the outdoors- anything from being on the water, going to the beach, skiing, hunting, gardening, sports, and running. She also loves a good book, cooking, and enjoys playing the piano and banjo in her free time. Prior to grad school, Libby obtained a B.S. degree in Extension Education with minors in Horticulture Science, Crop Science, and Ag Business Management. She has related work experience as a greenhouse assistant and communications assistant for the Agricultural and Human Sciences Department. Libby comes from a strong background in agriculture and would like to pursue a full-time career in extension after she completes her Master’s degree.
