Animal Science Club builds good fence for good neighbor

This spring, the CALS Animal Science Club donated money to farmers hurt by tornadoes, made valentines for nursing home residents and spent one spring Saturday building a 700-foot fence for the CORRAL Riding Academy in Cary.

Farm Animal Days attracts largest crowd ever

The college's annual Farm Animal Days event drew a record crowd of 10,962 during its three-day run in March. There are animals galore – including chicks, sheep and rabbits to pet – as well as roping demonstrations, tractors to climb on and complimentary cups of N.C. State’s signature “Howling Cow” ice cream.

Matt Silliman remembered with 4-H Camp Millstone meditation garden

On Saturday, March 19, 4-H Camp Millstone will host a tree planting and dedicate a meditation garden in memory of Matthew Silliman, who was a 4-H’er and counselor at the camp. Silliman’s life was taken by youth violence in November 2008.
