Preparing Faculty for Continued Success
Reappointment, promotion and tenure mark significant milestones in a faculty member’s academic career. Reappointment is the extension of a faculty contract after a successful initial appointment and review period, while promotion assigns a new ranking for tenure-track and tenured faculty members. Tenure guarantees a faculty member’s continued employment and promotes the academic freedom of the faculty.
The resources below provide information and guidance on the various stages of these processes. You can also learn more on the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost website.
