Struggling with managing your data storage as NC State University moves forward with its Google storage reducation plan? CALS Information Technology is here to help with in-person, one-on-one drop-in sessions designed to guide you through your data storage challenges.
Three upcoming sessions will take place on the following days:
- March 5: 1-4 p.m., Kilgore Hall, 2721 Founders Drive, Room 121
- March 10: 1-4 p.m., Patterson Hall, 2501 Founders Drive, Conference Room 315 (3rd floor only accessible by elevator)
- March 12: 1-4 p.m., Gardner Hall, 100 Derieux Place, Room 2212
Last month, CALS IT hosted a Data Storage Town Hall to discuss the university’s changes in Google storage. Information presented at the town hall can be accessed through the Data Storage Town Hall Presentation Slides. CALS IT can also provide a link to a recording of the event.
In April, all employee storage quotas must be no more than 100 GB, and all faculty, staff, student and individual user exceptions will be removed.
Employees whose Google accounts or shared drives exceed their storage quota should contact CALS IT for assistance and information on how to reduce their data. You can submit a request through the CALS IT Service Portal or call 919-515-6777.
