Crop and Soil Sciences’ Chris Reberg-Horton-Horton and Paula Ramos Giraldo’s “BenchBot” image classification team won 3rd place in the North America region of the OpenCV AI Competition 2021 last week. It was the world’s largest spacial AI competition to date.
Our competition team included Wolfpack from Crop and Soil Sciences and Electrical Engineering as well as collaborators from other institutions in the U.S. and Denmark. The team faced over 1,400 competitors from 100 countries. Less than 20% of teams were selected for the second round.
The team is now competing for the most popular OpenCV project. You can help them win this category (and additional funding!) by voting for the BenchBotics team before 9/20 at https://form.jotform.com/212316850026043. You can only vote once so every vote matters. Go Pack!
