2019 CALS Lunch and Learn Series
The 2019 Lunch and Learn series launched in January, and the theme for 2019 is “Self-Aware, Self-Care: Creating a Culture of Wellness,” with topics covering everything from personal wellness, financial readiness, work-life balance, valuing and recognizing others, healthy living and more.
CALS Awards for Excellence and for Safety Still Receiving Nominations
The 2019 CALS Award for Excellence, as well as the Award for Excellence in Safety are still receiving nominations. The submission deadline for both awards is Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 5 p.m.
Donna Rewalt Named Extension Director for Durham County
Donna Rewalt has been named director of N.C. Cooperative Extension’s Durham County Center. Rewalt will begin her position as director on March 1, 2019.
CALS Faculty Advisor Winner & University Nominee
Dr. Chad Jordan from the Plant and Microbial Biology department was recognized on January 25th at the University Academic Advising Award Ceremony & Reception as a nominee for the Faculty Advisor Award.
Smith Initiative Grant – RFP Released
In 2012, a special fund was created in honor of former Associate Dean and Director of NCARS, David Smith. The goal of the fund is to help sharpen the competitive edge that delivers the promise of the farm of the future.

On Monday, Feb. 25, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) changed the settings within Duo Security and Google Two-Step Verification (G2SV) (https://go.ncsu.edu/2fa) that will allow you to trust your devices for 14 days.
