The Ireland: Agricultural Production Systems and Culture program offers students opportunities to acquire first-hand knowledge of livestock and crop management practices and production methods in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Students will learn about the most pressing factors affecting the current global food system and how these impact agricultural production and food security in the United States, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland. They will also experience the rich culture of the island and, in the process, develop a more informed knowledge of how historical events, cultural movements, and government policies can shape the path of agricultural production.
