Shwetha S. RamanathanShwetha S. Ramanathan, President

Shwetha obtained her master’s degree in environmental science from the University of Mysore, India and is currently pursuing her PhD related to herbicide carryover effects on soybean crop in North Carolina. She strongly believes that the interdisciplinary exchange of scientific ideas can improve the translation of research from the bench to the field and guide agricultural innovations. CALS SAIGE gives her an opportunity to connect with dedicated individuals who have a vision for international development. She hopes that one day her scientific background and experiences will enable her to work with children in rural areas to inspire them with notions about sustainability, environmental protection and encourage cultural harmony.
