Remi Ham Receives Yellowdig Award

DELTA celebrates our NC State faculty who receive kudos for their use of instructional technologies. This summer we were excited to learn that Assistant Teaching Professor Remi Ham was recognized by Yellowdig for “Excellent STEM use.” 

Yellowdig “selected to award Remi this particular award because of how she created a thriving community that allowed her students to freely discuss their experiences with horticulture and through leading by example, she achieved a community that was full of students applying their learnings.” 

Ham has enjoyed using Yellowdig in HS 201: The World of Horticulture. “Yellowdig has truly enhanced student engagement in both my distance education (DE) and in-person courses,” Ham said. 

“I love participating in our online community and have learned so much about and from my students. Students ask meaningful questions, share experiences, resources, pictures and videos — all related to the course content. The user interface is very easy to use and is a great tool to facilitate meaningful discussions.”
