Bio

Ryan Lundquist is a first year doctoral student studying nutrition science. Under the supervision of Dr. Virginia Stage, Ryan serves as a graduate assistant and is currently conducting research for More PEAS Please! This research examines the impact of food and nutrition as a teaching tool in preschool classrooms and measures science understanding and dietary impact on children.

Ryan began his postsecondary education at NC State where he received his degree in Nutrition Science in 2017. Shortly afterwards, Ryan joined the US Army where he served for 4 years as an airborne infantryman. He resumed his education when he attended the University of Padova in Italy for his masters degree. Currently, he lives with his amazing dog, Mac, and is excited to continue his journey at NC State.
