Bio

Dr. Pauline Grist has a passion for community health education, research methodology, and program evaluation. Her diverse educational journey includes a Ph.D. in Community Health Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, complemented by a Doctoral Minor in Educational Research Methodology. Her commitment to research led her to earn a Graduate Certificate in Survey Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with a Master of Arts in Health Education & Promotion from East Carolina University, a Masters in Physical Education/Sports Administration, and a Masters in Educational Leadership.

With expertise in health behavior theory, program evaluation, and survey methodology, Dr. Grist contributed to various projects funded by institutions that include the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and the NFL Foundation. Her responsibilities encompassed program design, program evaluation, qualitative and quantitative data collection, and analysis. Dr. Grist’s academic endeavors extends to her 12-years of lecturing in the Health & Human Performance Department at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, empowering students to advocate for health promotion and behavior change. Her unwavering passion for promoting health and wellness serves as a catalyst for creating healthier communities.
