Morgan Simpson
Bio
Morgan Simpson is a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences at North Carolina State University. She grew up in Newton Grove, North Carolina, where she developed a passion for agricultural education through her involvement in FFA during middle and high school. Morgan has always had a strong love for the outdoors, animals, and helping others succeed. She earned her undergraduate degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Mount Olive. During her undergraduate studies, Morgan completed an internship with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, student taught at Hobbton High School, and competed in several national collegiate contests with organizations such as the Young Farmers & Ranchers, American Society of Animal Science, National Association of Landscape Professionals, and the North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge.
Morgan is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Agricultural Education at NC State while serving as a Graduate Assistant. In this role, she primarily assists Dr. Travis Park in his responsibilities as the National FFA Advisor. During her time at NC State, Morgan hopes to further explore the impact of FFA membership on students while mentoring and supporting them on their paths to success. After earning her Master’s degree, Morgan plans to return to the high school classroom to teach agriculture and inspire the next generation of agriculturists.
