Bio

Monipel Babb is an Ed.D Agriculture Education and Extension graduate student at NC State University whose research area is on low-moisture food safety in the food supply chain. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from KNUST, Ghana, a Master’s degree in Food Quality Management Systems from KNUST, Ghana, and a second master’s degree in Agriculture from Washington State University, USA (Emphasis in Food Microbiology). She also has diverse work experience in Global G.A.P, Organic and Retail Food Safety Audits, and consultation. Over the years, she volunteered on various USAID Farmer-to-Farmer programs in several countries and works with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, a partner of the Feeding America program. Monipel creates an extension of her career to advocate for youth and women empowerment on media platforms. She is a generational thinker, and networker, and loves to work with determined teams and professionals to build dynamic initiatives that drive positive changes to the food and agriculture industry.
