Bio

Mikayla Daniels, from Charlotte, North Carolina, holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Agricultural and Extension Education. Passionate about inclusive agricultural practices, she serves as the Program Lead for the Rurally Engaged Agricultural Leaders (R.E.A.L) Program, where she collaborates to develop leadership and academic prowess among rural college students. She also exercises the role of Student Success Resource, engaging and supporting undergraduate students within their online cohorts. Mikayla’s commitments extend to education and research as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant. She inspires students’ contribution to Agriculture through agricultural curricula. Concurrently, she explores measures of inclusivity for Black minorities in Agriculture, aligning with her aspirations of establishing practices that prioritize inclusion and advocacy for minority communities. Through her multifaceted roles, Mikayla aims to inspire future leaders and contribute to a more diverse and representative agricultural industry.
