Bio
Megan Halbohm is the Technology and Training Leader Extension Associate for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). This program serves limited resource families and school-aged youth by providing hands-on educational sessions with the goals to improve dietary intake, nutritional practices, food resource management practices, food safety practices and to increase daily physical activity. Megan started her career with EFNEP in Orange County as an Educator for both youth and adult programs in 2016. Now at the state level, she has developed a series of online lessons to supplement the face-to-face lessons that are the foundation of EFNEP. Megan also assists with training for staff members and editing and developing the Families Eating Smart and Moving More Curriculum. Megan received her Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Maine and her Masters of Art in Health Education from East Carolina University.
