Carla Dockery, RD, LDN
Carla is the Regional Nutrition Extension Associate (RNEA) for Anson, Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Richmond, Rowan, Scotland, Stanly, and Union counties. She works with the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education program (EFNEP) and the SNAP-Ed Steps to Health program. Both deliver nutrition and physical activity education to limited resource audiences. She provides programmatic supervision to EFNEP educators and technical assistance to county Cooperative Extension agents working on Policy, Systems, and Environmental change initiatives.
A North Carolina native, Carla earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Western Carolina University. She has over 20 years-experience as a Registered Dietitian. Her diverse background includes work in clinical nutrition, regulatory compliance, sales, training, and community nutrition for limited resource audiences.
