Bio

Angela Brisson has served as the Extension Assistant for NC 4-H Camps since 2018, focused on marketing and fundraising initiatives in support of the 4-H Camping program. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Science and began her career as seasonal Program Staff at the Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center, later serving as Assistant Director. Angela then joined The Nature Conservancy in Washington, D.C., where she held project management roles in philanthropy, marketing, and youth engagement, ultimately serving as the Director of Youth Engagement. Her professional expertise includes donor cultivation and stewardship, grant writing and administration, positive youth development program design, marketing, curriculum development and video production. Over the course of her career, she has successfully managed more than $6 million in private, public, and corporate funding to design, expand, and sustain positive youth development initiatives, including establishing NC 4-H’s state camp scholarship program, which has awarded more than $466,000 to help vulnerable youth access the 4-H camp experience since 2019.
