AHS Welcomes, Awards, Recognitions, and Farewells

We are so thankful for our AHS department! Today we would like to express proper gratitude by acknowledging the many achievements made by our phenomenally hardworking faculty and staff. We would also like to send proper goodbyes to our AHS colleagues, whose time has ended. We wish them all the best and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next.

- Jessica Starbird started as a Program Coordinator for the More In My Basket program.
- Shelby Robertson started with the FFA Association as the State FFA Coordinator.
Awards and Recognitions
- Annie Hardison-Moody was awarded the Outstanding Extension Award from NC State
- Travis Park was awarded the Distinguished Teacher Educator from the American Association for Agricultural Education – Southern Region
- Misty Lambert was awarded the Outstanding Researcher American Association from the Agricultural Education – Southern Region
- Wendy Warner was awarded the Outstanding Teacher Award from the American Association for Agricultural Education – Southern Region
- Basheerah Enahora was named a Goodnight Early Career Innovator at NC State.
- Mary Kate Lanier received the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding New Advisory from NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising
Research and Extension
- Faculty members and graduate students of the AHS Department recently attended the Southern Region— AAAE Annual Conference, held concurrently with the National Agricultural Communications Symposium (NACS) in Irving, TX.
