Savana Everhart Nunn, PhD

Bio

Savana Everhart Nunn contributes to program management and food safety work within the Safe Plates and Steps to Health teams. In her current role, she also designs and manages Moodle courses for both programs. Savana’s graduate work was in One Health, which is used to describe the relationship between the health of animals, humans, and the environment. Influenced by growing up on a farm, she has a particular interest in foodborne zoonoses and how human behavior impacts the transmission and spread of these diseases.

She is also an advocate of strong food safety culture and sharing science-based food safety information. When Savana is not working, she enjoys nature walks, horseback riding, and spending time with her husband and two cats.
