Get to Know NC State at Winter Welcome Week

With NC State’s spring semester set to start Monday, Jan. 8, New Student Programs (NSP) is excited to welcome transfer students, incoming first-year students and all other new faces to the Wolfpack during Winter Welcome Week

Throughout the week of Jan. 5-13, NSP will host several events to welcome in new students; here are a few to check out, along with the full Winter Welcome Week Schedule!

Connect with the Pack with Spring Connect

Saturday, Jan. 6, 12-1:30 p.m., Talley Student Union 3285

Join NSP for an engaging Spring Connect student meet-up! This event will feature trivia and other interactive games with great prizes up for grabs. NSP will provide lunch, and you’ll have the chance to join an optional campus tour led by first-year senators at 1:30 p.m.

TransferPack Winter Welcome

Monday, Jan. 8, 5-7 p.m., Talley Student Union Hatteras-Ocracoke Ballroom

Returning transfer students are ready to welcome the new pack of transfer students to campus! This event will feature board games, free giveaways and Makus Empanadas while supplies last.  

Student Leadership and Engagement Carnival: Open House!

Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2-4 p.m., Woodward Student Involvement Center (Suite 4210)

Connect with Student Leadership and Engagement and learn more about the office. This event will feature bear stuffing (while supplies last), carnival games and food! 

Cheers to the New Year

Tuesday, Jan. 9, 6-8 p.m., Talley Student Union, Mountains-Piedmont Ballroom 

Join UAB to toast to a bright semester with friends! Enjoy sparkling cider, take pictures with friends, win prizes and have a good time!

Campus Community Center Open House

Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2-4 p.m., Talley Student Union, Multicultural Student Affairs (Suite 4107), Talley Student Union, GLBT Center (Suite 5230), Talley Student Union, Women’s Center (Suite 5210), Witherspoon Student Center, African American Cultural Center (Room 355)

The Campus Community Centers’ Open House is a time for students to get acquainted with the resources and programs of the four campus community centers (Women’s Center, LGBTQ Pride Center, Multicultural Student Affairs and the African American Cultural Center). Stop by each center, participate in activities, meet new people, and enjoy food.  Visit all four centers for a chance to win a prize!

Roller-State

Thursday, Jan. 11, 9-11 p.m., Talley Student Union State Ballroom 

Rollerskate in an indoor skating rink in Talley State Ballroom. 90s tunes will be playing while guests are welcome to light refreshments and some games. 

Student Involvement Fair

Friday, Jan. 12, 2-5 p.m., Talley State Ballroom 

Come to the involvement fair to find out how you and your friends and get involved with various student clubs and organizations on campus.
