Please join us at the upcoming Plant Biology Alumni Panel & Reception, designed to allow alumni of the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology to share their experiences with current students. The panel will be moderated by Caitlyn Elliott, a current second-year plant biology undergraduate student and Peer Career Coach with CALS Career Services. It will feature the following alumni:

• Dr. Susan Jaconis, Director of Agriculture & Environmental Research at Cotton, Inc.

• Dr. Blake Oakley, ORISE Postdoctoral Research Fellow at USDA-ARS.

• Ms. Misty Franklin, Deputy Director of Natural Heritage at the NC Department of Natural & Cultural Resources.

• Dr. Angela Post, Associate Professor & Small Grains Extension Specialist in the Department of Crop & Soil Sciences

This event is open to students in the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology and those interested in a career in plant biology or a similar field. It will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 in Witherspoon 201. The event will begin with a panel, followed by a reception for conversation and networking. Light refreshments will be provided.
