PHHI researchers featured on WUNC-TV science show Sept. 25

Two researchers from N.C. State University’s Plants for Human Health Institute (PHHI) will be featured on UNC-TV’s N.C. Science Now show on Wednesday Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Dr. Mary Ann Lila, PHHI director, and Dr. Allan Brown, applied molecular geneticist, as well as their lab staff members will be featured on an NC Science Now segment, entitled “Fruit Infusion.”

The segment will focus on fresh produce research at the N.C. Research Campus. It’s scheduled to air on the 12 UNC-TV affiliate stations, which reach all 100 counties and 4 million viewers each week.

The Charlotte station is WUNG-58 and the Triangle station is WUNC-4 (the channels will vary depending on your TV service provider and market). The show will re-air at some undetermined time(s) as well as be posted as an online story.

The N.C. Science Now stories are designed to promote STEM education and focus on the latest scientific findings throughout the state. We hope you’ll tune in and share this news with others.
