Edible flowers: New guide for choosing and using flowers in food

Today there is a renewed interest in edible flowers for their taste, color and fragrance. But not all flowers are edible. For guidance on how to select, grow, harvest and preserve flowers for food use, check out this new North Carolina Cooperative Extension online publication, Choosing and Using Edible Flowers (PDF).

Featuring a colorful, fact-filled table, the 18-page fact sheet was written by Cyndi Lauderdale, an Extension agent in Wilson County, and Dr. Lucy Bradley, Extension urban horticultural science specialist in NC State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
