Two news scientists join Kannapolis research institute

KANNAPOLIS – N.C. State University’s Plants for Human Health Institute at the N.C. Research Campus in Kannapolis announces that two more scientists will join its faculty this summer. Beginning July 1, Dr. Slavko Komarnytsky and Dr. Xu “Sirius” Li will begin work at the campus, filling pharmacogenomics and metabolic pathway engineering positions, respectively.

Agriculture agents receive communications awards

A North Carolina Cooperative Extension agriculture agent and an agent team have received communications awards from the National Association of County Agricultural Agents. Shawn Banks of Johnston County won first place in the feature story category. A team of agents in the Successful Gardener program won in the fact sheet category.
