Dr. Richard Linton named College of Agriculture and Life Sciences dean

Dr. Richard Linton, a nationally recognized food-safety authority who serves as professor and chair of the Department of Food Science and Technology at The Ohio State University, has been named dean of North Carolina State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, effective Sept. 15.

Extension Master Gardeners turn barren lot into peaceful park

What was a narrow, barren lot beside the Clay County administrative office building in downtown Hayesville is now a peaceful park, thanks to recent efforts of Cooperative Extension Master Gardener volunteers. Their donated work saved the county more than $10,000.
