Bed bugs are topic of workshops Nov. 3 and 10

As homeowners and institutions experience a re-emergence of bed bugs, N.C. Cooperative Extension’s Forsyth County center will host a workshop on the topic Wednesday, Nov. 3, 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Extension center is located at 1450 Fairchild Road in Winston-Salem. A similar workshop will be held in Greenville, Nov. 10.

2010 CALS Donor Recognition is a special celebration

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ annual donor recognition event was especially festive this year for two reasons. First, it wrapped up a week of activities commemorating the Oct. 26 installation of Dr. Randy Woodson as N.C. State University’s 14th chancellor. Understanding the tax-cut debate

There's a big national debate about taxes -- specifically, whether to extend some tax rate reductions that were made in the early 2000s. One recommendation is to extend the cuts for all but the very highest income-tax payers. specifically those making more than $250,000 in taxable income annually. "But I do want to help find the cure for cancer –- find a medical device that helps wounded veterans better cope with their lives and improve their lives.
