BackPack School Supply Distribution – NC State Staff Senate is hosting a BackPack School Supply Distribution next Thursday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Administrative Services III, Room 124. While we understand this may not be convenient for many in Extension, we still wanted to make everyone in our organization aware of this opportunity and let you know that we hope to provide more outreach opportunities across the state on a district level in the future. Computer Loan Program – In support of staff development, the NC State University Staff Senate provides a Computer Loan Program for qualifying NC State staff members. This program provides computers to employees who may have limited access to develop computer skills and who want to take classes or expand their knowledge in ways that are mutually beneficial to themselves and the university. The Staff Senate, Computer Loan Committee, manages this initiative. See the link for more information and to apply.
Shelton Leadership Forum – The Shelton Leadership Center at NC State University is hosting its 22nd Shelton Leadership Forum on Friday, Oct. 13, from 8:15 a.m – 12:15pm. This year’s forum is focused on resiliency. All sessions of the 2023 Shelton Leadership Forum will be streamed virtually. Registration for NC State affiliates, UNC System affiliates, and NC Community College affiliates is free.
