Wolfpack Wellness Research Web Series will be with Dr. Carli Ardent from Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. She will discuss how Glaciers and Climate Change impact our health and wellness. The interview will be on Friday, April 15th at 2pm EST.
Carli Arendt is an Assistant Professor and the director of the Trace Metal Laboratory in the Department of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences, and an affiliate with the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center at NC State University. Her work focuses on traditional and novel hydrochemistry applications to better understand hydrochemical responses to climate in polar, fluvial,
and coastal settings, with a focus on local ecosystems and communities.
She was previously a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory, obtained a Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences and a M.S. in Geology from the University of Michigan, and a B.S. in Geology from Saint Norbert College with a minor in Peace & Justice. The intersection of science and the humanities continues to motivate her work today.
