Greetings CALS Community,
We invite everyone in our CALS family and all of our CALS community partners to join us as we flesh out the specific topics upon which we will focus in the “Tool and Techniques for Building a More Diverse College” Learn at Lunch Conversation Series.
At this first session, we will introduce this semester’s discussion series in which we plan to focus on identifying strategies that most effectively attract, nurture, and retain diverse communities in universities with predominantly traditional students. As the series progresses, we hope participants will gain and share insights about how we can all utilize our own individual spheres of influence to ensure NC State University has the most diverse, equitable, and inclusive work and learning environment possible.
Seats for each session are limited and go fast so please register as soon as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy lunch provided by the CALS ODI team and network with colleagues, classmates, and everyone in the University Community in a safe-to-be brave space. In this environment, the college community, as a whole, can explore different dimensions of diversity and gain skills we can all use in the workplace and classroom. These outcomes will help to foster a more inclusive and welcoming university environment. Each interactive shared lunch session will highlight a different area of diversity, followed by engaging discussions in which participants are encouraged to ask questions, share examples, and provide insights related to the topic.
We hope to see you there,
~The CALS Office of Diversity and Inclusion Team~ |
