NCARS Assistant Director Candidate Seminar

Michael Reiskind, an associate professor in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology and candidate for the North Carolina Agricultural Research Service (NCARS) Assistant Director, Life Sciences position, will present his vision for the position on Tuesday, May 12.
Reiskind’s research focuses on the ecology of disease vectors, such as mosquitos and ticks, at the local and global level. He has served on the CALS Research Committee for the past three years, and has been the CRC chair for two years.
The NCARS Assistant Director for the Life Sciences serves as a liaison between CALS administration and faculty, and as an advocate for the life sciences within the College. The new Assistant Director will develop and implement plans that enhance the visibility of life sciences and providing leadership for increasing grants and contracts that support the college’s life sciences’ research.
