Event Navigation
The LW Parks Distinguished Lectureship in Microbiology has been expanded to include a Diversity and Inclusion in Science session, ePoster sessions for anyone with microbiology or microbiology-related research to present, and the Distinguished Lectureship in Microbiology. Graduate and undergraduate, Postdoctorals, research staff and faculty are encouraged to upload and host a poster. For students, there will be grad and undergrad 1st, 2nd and 3rd place cash awards for best posters! Judging will be independent of the program organizers.
Posters will be hosted at no cost through Acadiate.com (after registering, you will just need to upload your finalized poster PDF), although this resource also allows you to load a resume and other information for those seeking career opportunities. The central site for the Diversity and Inclusion in Science panel, ePoster Sessions and the LW Parks Distinguished Lecture (Susan Golden, UCSD) is at:
https://www.acadiate.com/ee/ncsu/LW_Parks_Lectureship_in_Microbiology_%7C_Lobby
Posters will be viewed on Tuesday, September 29th at either 1 – 2 pm or 2 – 3 pm. We ask that you send an email to Rose Krebs (rkrebs@ncsu.edu) to sign-up for presenting a poster, indicating your prefered time slot and student status (for award competition), and the topic on which you will present (final poster title not needed at this time). Rose will provide a short document giving full instructions on using Acadiate to upload your poster (due 9/22/20). Any research conducted by you and your collaborators is acceptable!
