Overview
All CALS faculty are encouraged to take study leave. In an effort to encourage CALS faculty scholarly leave, George J. and Rhoda W. Kriz established an endowment for off-campus scholarly assignments, such as sabbaticals. Up to two awards of $5,000 are available to support a study leave.

Eligibility
Any CALS faculty member with approved study leave at an out-of-state location.

Nomination and Selection
Applications should be submitted to Laina Stensvold (llstensv@ncsu.edu) on or before November 19, 2020. Award selection will be announced in December.

Application Materials:
- An application in the form of a cover letter that describes where and with whom the study leave will be and how the leave will enhance the applicant’s program as well as how the leave will be of benefit to the College.
- NC State Scholarly Assignment Form
- Curriculum vitae (two pages maximum). The curriculum vitae should include:
- Up to ten publications — five most significant and five from the last five years
- Current grant support
- List of previous sabbatical leaves (dates, length and location)
