The final CALS Comm Workshop of 2020 will focus on culturally competent communications. Many communicators are uncertain about how to be inclusive in their communications. Knowing a few basic things can help keep you on the right path, out of trouble and speaking to all your audiences effectively.

Elizabeth Snively will lead the conversation. Elizabeth is director of communications for NC State’s Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity (OIED), which oversees diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives serving the university. Elizabeth leads OIED’s communications team, which publishes the Diversity Digest biweekly newsletter; manages OIED’s web presence and social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn); and creates digital and print publications. Elizabeth has B.A. degrees in English and design from Stanford University. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in digital communication at UNC Chapel Hill.
