NC State Crop and Soil Sciences professor of soil physics and hydrology Josh Heitman has been named a 2021 American Society of Agronomy Fellow.
Richardson Named Culpepper Distinguished Professor In Aquatic Weed Science
Rob Richardson was recently named NC State’s William H. Culpepper, Jr. Distinguished Professor in Aquatic Weed Science for his outstanding contributions in aquatic weed management.
Yelverton Named 2021 Crop Science Fellow
NC State Crop and Soil Sciences Extension Specialist and professor of turfgrass weed science Fred Yelverton was named as a 2021 Crop Science Society of America Fellow. He joins 15 department faculty who have previously received the honor.

Duckworth Receives Jackson Soil Chemistry and Mineralogy Award
Owen Duckworth was recently awarded the Jackson Soil Chemistry and Mineralogy award from the Soil Science Society of America. While the nature of his research is basic science it has profound implications and application for North Carolina citizens.
SATELLITE Camp: Experimenting with College
NC State students don’t just learn from instructors, some of them become one. SATELLITE Camp is a STEM high school outreach program led by NC State Caldwell Fellows and other undergraduate students. Thanks to quick teamwork, the event was held virtually this year.
