Congratulations to Elle Allen from the Center of Applied Aquatic Ecology for making the Journal of Phycology cover!  Her micrograph is from the center’s latest research that describes a new genus and species of toxic cyanobacteria, the Odorella benthonica, which was discovered in an aqueduct outside of Los Angeles, California.
