Bio
Federico Planchon is the Technology and Participant Outreach Extension Assistant for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). This program serves limited-resource families and school-aged youth by providing hands-on educational sessions with the goals to improve dietary intake, nutritional practices, food resource management practices, food safety practices and to increase daily physical activity. Federico started his career with EFNEP in a Temporary Social Media Support position. Currently, he is developing videos in English and Spanish for social media, the online delivery of EFNEP’s Families Eating Smart and Moving More curricula, and video series dedicated to training educators across North Carolina. He is also developing EFNEP youth programs in an online format. Federico received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from North Carolina State University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Communication from North Carolina State University.
