Bio

David is a Youth Development Specialist on the Department of the Air Force (DAF) 4-H Partnership Project. David provides leadership, technical assistance, and training to foster relationships between Air & Space Force Child and Youth Programs (CYP), State 4-H Military Liaisons and County 4-H Extension Educators to strengthen 4-H initiatives and provide 4-H opportunities for DAF youth, teens and CYP professionals at active duty installations and for Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve families in the community.

David develops training and provides technical assistance to CYP professionals and Training & Curriculum Specialists, identifies and shares resources, conducts webinars and face to face quality assistance to support youth and teen programs with understanding and applying the connections, consistencies and compatibility between 4-H and other military youth partner programs such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America and how to integrate into DAF core program areas.

David also supports the DAF Military Youth of the Year Program, Youth Camping Program, Reserve/Guard Teen Leadership Summits, and a variety of other youth and teen projects with the HQ USAF Child and Youth Programs team at Joint Base Andrews, MD. In addition to these project areas, David works with 4-H Extension Educators, DAF Youth Programs and military youth partner programs to determine needs of Youth Programs and provides research, technical assistance, educational sessions, and support as appropriate. David is passionate about sharing positive youth development opportunities with military youth and educators and has dedicated the last two decades serving 4-H Cooperative Extension and military families.
