Bio
David is the National Program Manager for the Children, Youth, & Families at Risk(CYFAR) 4-H Military Partnership Program. The CYFAR 4-H Military Partnership Professional Development and Technical Assistance Program supports land-grant institutions and the Cooperative Extension System so educators can champion military child and youth professionals and develop and deliver experiential educational programs for military-connected youth. David coordinates the 4-H Military Partnership Leadership Academy and leads cohorts of Extension professionals in exploring leadership strategies and styles, identifying best practices to create and sustain 4-H & military partnerships, and expanding resources to enhance youth program experiences. Prior to the CYFAR role, David served as the NC State University 4-H Youth Development Specialist for Army Child and Youth Services and then Air Force Child and Youth Programs for 24 years. He provided leadership, technical assistance, and training to foster connections between military youth professionals and state/county 4-H Extension Educators to strengthen 4-H initiatives, increase program opportunities, and support military youth and families. David is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of Extension and military professionals, youth and families and has dedicated his career to serving others.
