Bio

Charity Stallings is a North Carolina native from a small town called Tyner. She has an adorable cat named Tiger, and in her free time enjoys time with family and friends, hunting, going to all sporting events, and working out in Carmichael Gym! Charity is a graduate student earning an M.S. in Agriculture and Extension Education in the Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences. Additionally, Charity works as a graduate assistant with CALS Academic Programs, where her main focus is on the CALS Alumni for Student Success Career Coaching Program. Through this program, Charity matches one CALS alumni with one CALS student for one academic year of career coaching. The goal of the CALS Alumni for Student Success Career Coaching Program is to see students reach their career goals and provide alums with an opportunity to give back to the college. Prior to graduate school, Charity graduated with her undergraduate degree from NC State in May 2023, and spent that time interning as a Peer Career Coach, playing on the NC State Club Softball Team, and participating in other clubs and activities. Charity’s passion for agriculture, helping others succeed, and incorporating communication and outreach transitioned her well into her graduate assistantship as she works with both CALS students and CALS alumni.

Charity also is a part-time graduate assistant for the Agricultural Institute Golden Leaf Grant Foundation. She works on curriculum development, including recruitment powerpoints, lessons, handouts, and assessments, and establishes any other necessary materials. Charity is also the Graduate Liaison for the Agricultural Communicators Program (ACP). Her role through the ACP is to coordinate with the ACP faculty supervisor to perform any administrative or managerial duties. Tasks include, but are not limited to, producing marketing materials, sending outreach emails to recruit prospective students in CALS, CHASS, and CVM, preparing for bi-weekly meetings, keeping minute meetings etc.
