JC Raulston Arboretum presents 'Superhero Plants' program for kids

WHAT:
It’s a tree! It’s a shrub! It’s a superhero plant!
At the JC Raulston Arboretum’s “Superhero Plants: Protectors of Clean Water” program, children will learn about plants that help protect water from pollutants and will take home a “superhero” of their own. The program is best for kids ages 8 and up, and parents/caregivers must remain with their children. The event is rain or shine; please dress to be outdoors. Admission is $8 per child; parents are free.

WHO:
The 10.5-acre JC Raulston Arboretum has one of the largest and most diverse collections of landscape plants adapted for landscape use in the Southeast. Plant collections include more than 5,000 total species and/or cultivars of annuals, perennials, bulbs, vines, groundcovers, shrubs and trees from more than 50 different countries. Maintained by N.C. State students, faculty, volunteers and staff members, the Arboretum is named in honor of its late director, Dr. J.C. Raulston, who founded it in 1976.
