Cubeta Named President of National Scientific Society

Congratulations to Professor Marc Anthony Cubeta, of NC State’s Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology, who is serving as the 89th president of the Mycological Society of America.

Founded in 1932, the society advances and promotes the scientific study of fungi to foster and encourage education and research in mycology.

In addition to his research and teaching related to the study of the ecology and interaction of beneficial and pathogenic soil fungi with plants, Cubeta serves as associate director of the Center for Integrated Fungal Research and director of the Larry F. Grant Mycological Herbarium.
