Collaborative to Hold Mini-Symposium on Water

Droplet of water with ripples

NC State’s first annual Water Collaborative Mini-Symposium will take place Jan. 16 at NC State University’s McKimmon Center.

The Water Collaborative is a CALS faculty-driven initiative to more powerfully address a wide range of water resource issues. It is currently in the development phase, with organizers hoping to ultimately include faculty and students across the university.

This mini-symposium will be open to CALS faculty and graduate students who are interested in participating or learning more about the Water Collaborative. Registration is free, but participants must sign up by Jan. 8 at the following site: https://forms.gle/9mckAtycgmAgCVyQ9

The symposium’s goal is to build on our momentum from previous meetings by bringing faculty and students together to demonstrate the breadth and depth of our work in water and create a space where new ideas and collaborations may be generated. The event will feature lightning talks from faculty and posters from graduate students to motivate conversation and connections among participants. Posters from recent conferences, new research or potential new research are welcome.

We will also have a keynote speaker, updates about the overall progress and future directions of the Water Collaborative and time to socialize with old and new colleagues. We hope to see you there!
