Chad Schilling, Facilities Safety Engineer, Environmental Health and Safety at NC State, reminds us that far too many people die each year in automobile accidents. From 2014 to 2016, traffic fatalities increased 14% in more than 50 years. We all have had the experience of something catching our eye, drawing our attention away from the road and it only takes a second for an accident to occur.

The National Safety Council has designated April as Distracted Driving Awareness Month. NC State employees, and graduate and undergraduate students can attend Distracted Driver Safety Training sessions (Distracted Driver Safety Training – EHPS-GS101) offered by Environmental Health and Safety.
