College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Dean Richard Linton has announced that Dr. K.P. Sandeep has agreed to serve as head of the Department of Food, Bioprocessing and Nutrition Sciences, pending receipt of appropriate required approvals. Sandeep has agreed to continue serving as interim department head until these approvals are received.

“Once all final approvals have been received, we will share a more formal announcement with our extended CALS Community,” said Linton. “In the meantime, please join me in congratulating K.P. and wishing him well as he steps into this important leadership role.”

Linton also extended special thanks to all members of the search committee led by Dr. Garey Fox.

“The strength of our department lies in our outstanding people and the family atmosphere,” Sandeep said. “I am excited to take on this new leadership role and look forward to working with our faculty, staff and students in taking FBNS to new heights.”
